Listening 2: Final Term Assignment


Dear Students,
In one of his audio books, The 21 Secrets of Self-Made Millionaire, Brian Tracy, one of the knowledgeable American speakers and trainers, shares interesting and inspirational thoughts, insights, and ideas about how ANYONE can become millionaire from NOTHING. He has accumulated principles and techniques which are simple, yet powerful to make anyone from any backgrounds millionaires.
As the Final Term Assignment for Listening 2, you are assigned to listen to the audio book.

DIRECTIONS:
a. Download the materials from one of the links below. NOTES: You are to download only one file, based on  your presence number, in the brackets.
            LINK 4 (for students whose presence number is 4, 14, 24, 34, 44 or 54)
      b.      Listen to the materials as many times as you want to.
      c.      Write the transcript.
      d.      Write YOUR summary (in one paragraph of about 100 words).
      e.      Write YOUR comments (in one paragraph of about 50 words).
      f.        Submit the transcript, summary and comment BEFORE January 26, 2011. 
      (NOTES: The work submitted after the due date will NOT be accepted).

Listening 2: Midterm Test

The midterm test has passed and the results have been announced. The results varied from low to high. Some got straight A and B criteria, and some struggled in lower range for better achievement.
However, test may turn to be a good learning experience when it is followed by the reflection and review. The midterm test material is available in the link below:

Pronunciation Practice: Unit 5 and 9

Directions:
1. Download the materials below

2. Listen to the recording as many times as you want, the more times the better.
3. Do the tasks in the book and write the answer on a piece of paper.
4. Submit the work before the exam

IMPORTANT!
The midterm exam is conducted ORALLY next week.
The following is the exam procedures:
1. You will be called to enter the exam room one by one.
2. Submit your work (Unit 5, 6, 8, and 9).
3. You will be given a test paper containing a list of
    - single-syllable words
    - two-or-more-syllable words
    - sentences.
4. You are to pronounce the words and sentences.
